That All May Know

Today as I write this, I am thinking of all the things I have to do today; work out (ever since I looked in the mirror and saw I was a spitting image of my father, this has been a priority), spend some time doing reading for classes, and oh yeah, preach the Gospel to 800+ students tonight at UNCW/BSU Shawn McDonald concert.

Personally for me, it's not about preaching at a concert with a well known "Christian Artist," (becuase quite truthfully they can sometimes be a thorn in your side to work with) but it's all about presenting the life changing message of the Gospel of Salvation to hundreds of people. Ever since I gave my life to Christ in the 8th grade, I have had a burning passion to see His people come to know Him.

I pray that my life may be one like that of the Apostle Paul who said in Romans 1:14-16 "I am under obligation to Greeks and Non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the Power of God for the salvation to all who believe, first the Jew and then the Gentile."

Wow, Paul hit the nail head on baby. Because Paul, the chief of sinners (1 Tim.1:16) was saved by God's grace, he is obligated, or in debt to God, to preach this same message of hope to those who have not yet heard. Not only does he have an obligation, but Paul is EAGER to do the task of preaching, and for that Gospel he is NOT ASHAMED.

I pray that we would grasp the greatness of the Triune God of the Universe, the one who Saves and calls us to be eager to spread that same message to all people. I pray that you may find "eagerness" in spreading the love of Christ to those who desperately need the Hope of Glory.

And if you think about it, say a prayer for those 800+ students tonight. Pray that God will open their hearts to salvation and pray for those who are searching to find the one who has been chasing after them their whole life.
