Makin Some Noise

As you are well aware of, our culture is consumed with noise. Actually, I am pretty much consumed with noise. To prove the point, I am currently listening to "Shelly Moore Band" on my computer while I am typing this post. Sure, noise is a distraction at times. However, I want to propose to you a noise that we need to be making in this community that will make the ears of the people want more. Hear the words from Luke 4:18-19

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has annointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

Listen folks, the message is simple. We need to making noise for the Gospel in our respective communities. Jesus (the one who said those words from Isaiah in Luke 4 above) was setting out on the task of God to proclaim to those who are perishing, those who are blind, those who are needy, and those who are enslaved the Hope of Glory!

It's time church. It's time to get up and make some noise for the Glory of God and the good of man in your cities. It's time to start loving people for the Gospel. It's time to start proclaiming the freedom from the slavery of sin to those who are held captive by it. It's time to proclaim the favor of the Lord. Don't just sit on the sidelines. Get in the game. Make an impact. Make some noise.
