Our Great God

Growing up, my youth Pastor Chuck Thompson always said "Folks, we serve a great big God." Now, I guess I will never fully understand what that means, but I feel as if I am beginning to get a glimpse of His greatness. If you get the chance today, read this. It is what I read in my quiet time with the Lord this morning.

Have you ever thought about the heavens as a tent for God? Ever imagined that the light of day is but a robe covering himself as a garmet? The clouds are His chariot! He put this earth into motion. At the sound of His voice, the mountains rose from the ground and the valleys sank down. He causes the grass of the field to grow for the livestock to eat. God gives everything the food needed for life in due season. He sent forth his spirit and it was all created!

Folks, not only is He great, but He is our provider. He has given us EVERYTHING. This Psalm is a declaration of the Majesty and Holiness of God. He is great. He is Holy. He is Majestic.

"May the glory of the Lord endure forever; May the Lord rejoice in his works.."
Psalm 104:31

I pray that you would see the greatness of our God today. I hope we can begin to see Him for all He is. Chuck, you've always been right brother..."Folks, we serve a great big God."
