Re:Volution

It has been stated that "Every revolution began with one act of defiance." Ever thought of just how true that is? I think of the all time great movie "Braveheart," based on the true story of a revolutionary by the name of William Wallace. If you've never seen the movie, get saved. I think of men like Jackie Robinson who broke the barrier of race by being the first black professional baseball player to have a contract and play with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. DEFIANCE. I think of people like Justin Harrells who, in the 3rd grade refused to partake in the fluoride treatment given by the local elementary school in Palm Bay, FL and ended up getting the paddle to his rear end because of his DEFIANCE. A TRUE REVOLUTIONARY. And what would a blog about people who change the world be without metioning the name "Jack Bauer?" Nuff said.

The thing that separated these men from the rest of the crowd was conviction. It was a conviction that went to the core of their souls. It was a conviction that was life altering. These men were willing to put their life on the line (or their rear end in Justin's case) for what they believed to be a noble cause.

Then there are those on the mission field literally giving up their lives of comfort here in the US because of a conviction from God that is life altering. Some even to the point of death. "The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church." True Revolutionaries.

Think about where God is calling you to go. Where can you serve God with everything you have?

I want to be a man who is used by God to reach hundreds of students for the Gospel. I want to have the mindset like that of William Carey when he said "Expect great things from God, attempt great things for God." I want to be a revolutionary for the Kingdom of God. I want to pour my life out into a city that needs Christ. I want to see hundreds of Students come to know salvation found in Christ alone. I want to be like Jesus. A true revolutionary.

"However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me- the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace."
Acts 20:24
