For all you Youth Pastors out there in the Wilmington area, you have been asking me to post some stuff about our upcoming Metamorphosis retreat in April. Well, the info is in!
Our theme for the weekend is "Illuminate" and it comes from Matthew 5:14-16. We want our students to see that they are Light Bearers everywhere they go in this world for the God who loved them enough to save them. Nathan Smith will be our speaker for the weekend with Worship being led by The Shelly Moore Band.
On Saturday, we will be saturating our community with outreach projects designed to get the students involved right away in being Light Bearers to the community. We will have FREE Car washes, hand out water on the Loop, visit a few Assisted Living Facilities and spend time with those who never have visitors, and much more. We don't want to preach at them all weekend and then not give them the opporutnity to dive right in. So, this is why our Saturday afternoon activity may be a little different than usual.
